Smooth experience overall

I purchased 1Password Families last month. The sign-up process was straightforward, and I got the confirmation email right away. Setting up accounts for everyone took a little bit, but the instructions were clear enough. The mobile app on iOS is really responsive, and the browser extension for Chrome integrated well. I used the password generator a few times already, and it's super handy. Didn't need support, so I can't comment on that. Delivery isn't really a thing since it's software, but access was instant. Quality feels solid, no hiccups so far. Watchtower security reports are a good touch.

Always reliable, keeps me coming back

I've been using 1Password for years now, starting with a Personal plan and upgrading to Families later. This time around, I renewed my 1Password Families subscription. The process was just as smooth as always, no surprises. I appreciate the consistency; it just works. I've tried a few competitors in the past, but I always come back to 1Password because of how easy it is to use across all my devices – desktop app, mobile, browser. It's comforting to know my passwords are secure, and they haven't given me a reason to switch. The annual billing discount is a nice bonus too.

Amazing security, love it!

I just got 1Password Personal and it's fantastic! The secure notes feature is so useful, and the mobile app is super convenient. I feel so much safer online now! Definitely shopping here again.

Good value for a year

I was looking for a password manager and saw the annual billing for 1Password Personal. It saved a good bit compared to monthly payments. The 14-day free trial let me check it out first, which was nice. Felt like a solid deal for keeping my stuff safe.

Hey, does 1Password ever do sales? Like, I'm waiting for a good deal before signing up for a family plan.

N Nina Vargas 1 month ago
Yeah, they definitely do. I got my family plan with a discount around Black Friday last year, like 50% off for the first year. Keep an eye out for those seasonal sales.

They also usually have a free trial, so you can test it out before committing. And annual billing usually saves you a good chunk of change compared to monthly, even without a specific sale.

Is 1Password safe to use? I'm always a bit paranoid about putting all my eggs in one basket, password-wise.

O Omar H. 2 months ago
They're considered one of the most secure options out there. Everything is encrypted locally before it even leaves your device, and they can't actually see your passwords, which is a big deal.

Super safe. The 'Secret Key' thing they use, combined with your master password, makes it really hard for anyone to access your data, even if their servers were compromised. It's a key part of their security.

Does 1Password offer a money-back guarantee? Just in case I try it and it's not for me.

S Sarah 2 months ago
I don't remember seeing a money-back guarantee, but they do have a free trial period. That's usually enough time to figure out if you like it before paying.

C Carly Beaumont 2 months ago
I don't think they have a traditional money-back thing, but the free trial is generous, like 14 days. That should give you plenty of time to kick the tires.

I heard something about a 'Travel Mode'. What exactly is that and why would I need it?

B Brett F. 2 months ago
Travel Mode is super cool for security. It lets you mark certain vaults as 'safe for travel', so when you cross borders and might be subject to inspection, only those 'safe' vaults are visible. Your sensitive stuff stays hidden.

It's basically a way to hide your most private info if someone forces you to unlock your device. Only the stuff you designate as non-sensitive will show up, protecting your really important credentials.

So, I'm a student. Any chance for a student discount on 1Password?

K Kate Bennett 1 month ago
I think they do actually! My friend got one last year. You probably have to verify your student status somehow, but it's worth checking their site for details.

Yep, they have an educator discount too, so students makes sense. Don't expect a coupon code though, it's usually tied to your email or some verification process.

How many devices can I actually use 1Password on if I get a personal plan? I've got a work laptop, personal desktop, phone, tablet...

T Tom Bennett 1 month ago
With a personal plan, you can use it on pretty much all your devices. There isn't a hard limit like some other services. Syncs across everything perfectly.

C Cleo 1 month ago
Yeah, it's not like you're buying a license per device. Once you have a subscription, you just install the app and log in on whatever you use.

What if I sign up for monthly and then decide I want to pay annually? Can I switch my billing plan?

K Kevin Vargas 2 months ago
Yeah, you should be able to switch easily. I did that a while back to save some money. Just check your account settings, it was pretty straightforward.

I Ivy W. 1 month ago
I think so. Most subscriptions let you change billing cycles. You'll probably get a pro-rated charge or credit depending on when you switch.

Any chance of getting 1Password for free? Like, forever free, not just a trial.

W Wendy Romero 1 month ago
Not really, no. It's a premium service. You might find a limited free plan with some other password managers, but 1Password is paid. The free trial is your best bet to try it out.
0
R Rosa 1 month ago
Nah, for a full-featured, secure service like 1Password, you're gonna pay. They invest a lot in security and development. Free trials happen, but a 'forever free' plan isn't their model.
